Coinciding with the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Championship regional finals, a new character has just been announced for Bandai Namco’s 2D hit. Stepping into the ring will be Android 21 as she originally appeared both in-game and back at her debut announcement. Formally dubbed Android 21 (Lab Coat), it’s a surprise reveal with no indication of her playstyle.

The most notable aspect of this reveal is that she’s not confirmed to be part of any DLC “season” for FighterZ. Dragon Ball is full of potential characters across its storylines and movies (with a new one of those on the way) so a new wave of characters is easy to envision. Surely there’s a way to add another Goku to this roster…?
