The Electric- and Fairy-type Pokémon Dedenne will finally be making its Pokémon GO debut this month during the Festival of Lights. Starting this Friday, November 5th, at 10 a.m., and running until Sunday, November 14th, at 8 p.m. (local time), Trainers will be able to partake in festival activities.

The event celebrates happiness and friendships, making Dedenne’s entrance into the mobile game all the more perfect, as it will bring a sense of illumination to the world around everyone! In-game friendship levels will increase twice as fast, gifts will provide increased rewards, and you’ll be able to open up to 45 gifts a day. Some nice, warm treats added to this increasingly chilly season!

On top of the bonuses, the Festival of Lights is bringing Trainers a truly jovial experience by adding fireworks during the first few days of the event. The shop is offering a free themed t-shirt, inspired by the celebrations in India. (Those who reside in India will be able to participate in a few extra goodies as well.) Other new avatar items included Dedenne-themed avatar apparel, like a hat, shoes, and bag. Adding to the spirit of light are Dedenne stickers that Trainers can earn by simply spinning Poké Stops and opening Gifts.

Exploring the world around will also bring everyone more frequent appearances of ‘mon like Pikachu, Electrike, Fennekin, and others. Lucky Trainers may also encounter Darumaka and Litwick! Field Research Tasks, Raid Battles, and Eggs will also be increasing encounters with specific Pokémon. For the full lists, make sure to check out Pokémon GO’s Lights of Festival announcement.
