It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since Stardew Valley released, granting mass appeal to the farming sim genre despite its indie status. Now the solo developer Eric Barone, aka ConcernedApe, has announced his next project – Haunted Chocolatier.
While the game similarly takes place in a small town with plenty of NPCs to interact with and befriend, it’ll apparently be more of an action RPG, with the player defeating monsters to gather materials in other worlds.
While the game is currently only confirmed for PC, Barone has “every intention of bringing it to the other major platforms as well.”
