The Nintendo Switch may see another Mega Man game soon! Rockman X DiVE, a mobile game (and known as Mega Man X DiVE in the west), had a brand new update that included some interesting code. As reported by Rockman Corner, the app’s latest datamine includes code mentioning Nintendo Switch (as NS) and amiibo. Sorry, no amiibo support here!

Sure, it might just be a few lines of code, but as Rockman Corner notes, this isn’t the first time a datamine for the game has tipped off fans of a port. Earlier this year, text was found to suggest a Steam port was in development. Said Steam port just launched last month too, but for select countries (Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand).
Still, it’s not an official confirmation and this would be related to just the Rockman X DiVE version (Asia servers, essentially). The western version, Mega Man X DiVE, is currently only available for mobile devices (iOS and Google Play) and is unavailable on Steam right now.
As for when we’ll see this possible port, chances are it’ll be in 2022. The time between the Steam port discovery and its launch was about six months, after all.
