While Shenmue doesn’t have much of a presence on Nintendo consoles, essentially limited to cameos in the likes of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, this latest bit of news is just too good not to share.

Announced a while back, we finally have a trailer for adult swim and Crunchyroll’s upcoming anime adaptation which seems to be focusing on the first game, though parts of the sequel seem to be included too.

With the saga still unfinished, maybe Yu Suzuki will use the medium of animation to see the story through? We’ll have to wait and see when the anime releases in 2022.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
