There was no stealing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s thunder today, what with the introduction of Sora to the game as the final DLC fighter, but Mr. Sakurai had a very interesting announcement seemingly wedged into his presentation. The entire Kingdom Hearts series (or at least the non-mobile entries) is arriving on Nintendo Switch sometime in the future via cloud-based means.

This will be across three titles, two of which are compilations in their own right:

  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
  • Kingdom Hearts III

With this the entire Dark Seeker saga and Sora’s journey will be available on Switch! Be on the lookout for specific release date(s) and details in the future.
