Capcom may not have been able to dive too deep into Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak in its Tokyo Game Show spotlight, but some new details were given as part of the presentation. Assumed elements like Master Rank and a new hub location were confirmed, along with a name for the mysterious and foreboding new flagship monster.

Malzeno, unlike Rise’s Magnamalo, is classified as an Elder Dragon. Specifics on its capabilities weren’t shared or showcased, but per that designation you can expect it to be an affront to the natural order of the Monster Hunter World in some way.
A little more down to earth was the reveal of a returning monster. Shogun Ceanataur will be back in Sunbreak, finally giving players a chance to take on a giant skull-capped hermit crab on Switch.
Nothing personal, Ludroth. ✂️
Shogun Ceanataur makes the cut and will return in #MHRise: #Sunbreak.
