The thing on all fans’ minds for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is next week’s reveal of the final fighter – currently a complete mystery even though we’re mere days away from their Mr. Sakurai Presents. Speculation and expectations are running high, but if you really want to get lofty all you have to do is play along this weekend for the next online tournament event.

Only winged fighters will be able to participate, with plenty of these skyfaring combatants showing up for the promo picture. At the heart of it is Pit and (the previous DLC reveal) Kazuya, but the lack of Falco here is astounding. He’s made it perfectly clear he prefer the air, and this is his time to shine – both figuratively and literally per his down special. What I really want to know is if a certain One Winged Angel will be invited…
This weekend-long winged Smash Ultimate tournament event will begin Friday, October 1st.
