As the Autumn chill and ubiquity of pumpkin spice makes its presence known, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is going in a different direction. The seasons appear to be turning in reverse, with a Spirit Board event in bloom that wouldn’t have been out of place this May.

Yes, the bounty of nature is bringing forth a field of flowering spirits and plant based characters. Pikmin are a perfect fit, but the likes of Prince Peasley and Daisy Mae show it’s not just petals that are invited. It’s times like these I can’t help but wish Panel de Pon’s Lip was fully playable, but alas, that seed still hasn’t sprouted.
Gather up this bouquet of spirits all weekend long, starting Friday, September 24th.
