One of the big mysteries of Pokémon, dating back to the very original games, is the statue found in Pokémon Gyms. A unique design that was also used to depict certain types of Pokémon in the party menu, it has no obvious corrolation to a creature we know of – yet. Some would point to Rhyhorn, but it’s missing the horn, while others would suggest it’s a skull-less Cubone or baby Kangaskhan.

Regardless, it remains an enigma, yet much like the similarly mysterious Substitute Doll before it, that doesn’t mean it can’t get merchandise.

As announced by Bandai, we have the Pokémon Gym Statue Salt & Pepper Shakers. Yes, really.

Reservations for the strange items are starting today while they’ll be shipped out in February, 2022.
