Even since the first generation of games, Ghost Pokémon have had a mysterious allure. Though often sinister or at least tricksy, every now and then we see a more benevolent side beyond their ethereal designs. Remember when Ash died that one time and got to fly around Lavender Town?

Well now with the latest PokéToon another kid is getting their own chance to pal around with Gengar. Meet Shoko, a shy girl who’s drawn into strange happenings around her school and who gets to experience its haunted halls first hand!

These cute adventures and wholesome tales continue to be a joy, even as bite-sized looks into the world of Pokémon. Between the continuing PokéToons and the just-begun Pokémon Evolutions, we’re definitely not hurting for episodic animations

Oh, and if you love Gengar specifically, be sure to check out what Build-a-Bear have just released – it’ll have you grinning too.
