The Pokémon Kids TV Japan YouTube channel has uploaded a new PokéToon short today. Previously, the last PokéToon short that release in June focused on a coming-of-age tale about becoming a Pokémon Trainer from the creators of the Pokémon: Twilight Wings series.

This time around, the latest short from director Errol Cedric tells the tale of a young boy and the bond he has sustained with a Magikarp thanks to the power of music. The entire episode takes a musical focus using various Japanese instruments such as the Shakuhachi flute with animation created by Studio Colorado. Below you can watch the full PokéToon!

The PokéToons shorts series is currently only available to watch in Japanese without any subtitles, however, the stories are absolutely understandable as they generally take a heavy visual focus — especially this time around as the latest Magikarp film quite literally features no voice acting whatsoever. As such, once again this is another must-watch for any and all Pokémon fans that are both young or old!
