Two old friends are returning to the Pokémon anime later this month! New Pokémon Journeys special episodes will be airing focused on the Sinnoh’s Lunar duo, Cresselia and Darkrai, and with them come two of the Diamond and Pearl series’ biggest stars.
That’s right, Dawn and Piplup are back! They’ll join Ash, Pikachu, and the rest of the Journeys crew in a plot concerning the two lunar legendaries. A new poster was shared that puts the Contest-happy duo front and center as well.

These Pokémon Journeys special episodes will be airing on Friday, July 23rd and 30th in Japan. It could be some time before they receive an English dub (if at all) but I’d guess something like that would pair nicely with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl’s November 19th release date.
