The second season of The Witcher was briefly showcased today during Netflix’s Geeked Week. While a release day has yet to be announced, Netflix and CD Projekt Red have something else ready for the summer. Prior to today’s Geeked Week stream, we were teased with a date – July 9th.

The Netflix Geeked Week livestream only had enough time to announce the event. Luckily, the site for this digital convention is up and running and provides the following details:
WitcherCon is a global virtual celebration of The Witcher! This digital convention will be streamed on both Netflix and CD PROJEKT RED’s YouTube and Twitch channels and will be available for co-streaming.
Watch the worlds of CD PROJEKT RED’s The Witcher video games and The Witcher Netflix series come together for an event full of surprises and exclusive first looks. Get ready for:
- Deep dives into the making of The Witcher games, live action series, anime film, and merchandise, including exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.
- Interactive panels spotlighting the people who brought The Witcher to life in-game and on-screen, featuring breaking news from the Netflix series and never-before-seen reveals from across The Witcher franchise.
- Exper explorations into the lore, legends, monsters, and origins of the Continent.
In case you’re wondering, no new Witcher game will be announced at WitcherCon, but there are still lots of reasons to tune in! Look out for the full schedule reveal coming soon!
While the full schedule has yet to be revealed, the event’s site does list the times for two streams and that “both streams featuring unique, exclusive content you won’t want to miss.” Currently, those streaming times are 10 a.m. PT | 1 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT | 9 p.m. ET on Friday, July 9th.
