Publisher VIZ Media has revealed the cover of the first volume of the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons Deserted Island Diary manga, and has updated its previous “Fall 2021” Western release window to the more specific date of September 14th, 2021.
The debut volume is now available to pre-order at Barnes & Noble for $9.99.

According to the product description, the 128-page manga will explore what the Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers get up to when the player isn’t around. It is said to lean on the comedic side with lots of “goofy gags and silly stories,” and also features comics highlighting each villager and a bonus section with tips and tricks for the game.
Deserted Island Diary originally launched in Japan in July 2020, and for those eagerly anticipating the localized release, you can catch a preview of the manga’s art style over on Shogakukan Comic (via Siliconera).
