As part of today’s Monster Hunter Digital Event, a new trailer debuted detailing what’s next for Monster Hunter Rise. New monsters and a new ending for the game’s Gathering Hub storyline are arriving very soon, bringing in fresh content faster than a comet.
Crimson Glow Valstrax is being introduced as a new variant of Generations Ultimate’s flagship Elder Dragon. Many were hoping for this monster, and now it’s flying fast across the sky to lay into hunters with its unique wings and techniques. Apex Zinogre is also on the way, both for Rampages and standard quests. Both Apex Rathalos and Apex Diablos will also be migrating to maps so hunters can test themselves against their fury properly.
As for the new ending, only bits of cutscene were shown, but it’s going in the most likely direction. Wind Serpent Ibushi and Thunder Serpent Narwa are about to meet, and what that will mean for Kamura Village can’t be good. How this will end and what sorts of confrontations await should come to light very soon.
The Monster Hunter Rise Ver.3.0 update will be available tomorrow, May 27th. In some timezones, including those in the US, Ver.2.0 released the night before it was slated, so we could be getting all this content (and potentially more surprises) as soon as tonight.
