ININ Games and STUDIOARTDINK are ready to reveal the western release date for Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World. Goodbye Q2 2021 placeholder! Get ready to revisit this Sega Mega Drive classic with a 3D make-over on the Nintendo Switch starting Friday, May 28th.

Asha, with her companion, Pepelogoo, must free the four spirits confined by evil forces whose origin she discovers throughout her journey. While the story remains true to the original 1994 game it is a full remake of Monster World IV, with cell-shaded 3D graphics and 2D gameplay that stays close to the beloved original, including enhanced visuals and refined play content.
Asha in Monster World will be available digitally on the Nintendo eShop for $34.99. You can pick up this adventure physically too, for $39.99 and it’ll include the original game (Monster World IV). If you want to splurge, then Strictly Limited Games has you covered. Three different limited editions are currently available to pre-order – Limited Edition (3,500 copies), Collector’s Edition (2,500 copies), and Mega Collector’s Edition (999 copies).
