In what could be either an accidental bug or one very clever marketing strategy, there seems to be hints of a Luigi set in the Lego Super Mario series coming soon, going by new dialogue discovered from the Mario toy.

After updating Lego Mario with the latest firmware, Jay Phoenix (@AyliffeMakit on Twitter) discovered new lines after laying Mario on his back for a few minutes and propping him back upright. As you can see in the following clip, Mario awakens from a nap, looks around, and asks for Luigi.

It appears Jay didn’t luck out with his finding, as others have also shared footage of the new voice clips online.

Lego has since acknowledged the discovery in a response to a comment on one of its Facebook videos:

“Now that’s a very creative way to get his missing brother. We did notice that LEGO Mario has started calling for him, we’re looking into it and hope to have clarity on why this is soon. Stay tuned!”

Here’s hoping that Lego Mario will be able to find Luigi soon and introduce us to his Lego form this year!
