This April Fools’ Day has certainly been a wild one throughout the games industry, yet very few of today’s pranks have quite hit the same level of wildness as what Sega and G FUEL have just announced: Sanic Chili Dogs-flavored powdered energy drink formula.

“What you are looking at is the PINNACLE of G FUEL + MEAT-infused technology! A level of science previously thought to be IMPOSSIBLE! An Energy Formula inspired by the go-to snack of the fastest, most bluest being in the universe! What you are looking at is Sanic’s G FUEL “CHILI DOGS” Flavor!!!

A LITERAL Chili Dog-infused, ULTRA Limited-Edition Flavor inspired by the one and only: SANIC! Grab yours today and you too can travel up to 12 times the speed of light! (for legal reasons we have to point out that this isn’t true.. also results may vary.)”

I’m sure you’re thinking to yourself: “Alright, that’s silly, but not very grand — certainly not as big as some of the jokes other companies have pulled today.” And you’d be correct, however, I’ve omitted one key detail: it’s real. Yes, you really can sign up to purchase this horrifyingly meat-flavored energy drink, and it comes in a big ol’ package deal!

The “Sanic’s Chili Dogs Bundle” will be available to order in the US and Canada via the official G FUEL site, and includes a tub of the chili dog-flavored drink mix, a Sanic-branded Shaker cup, and a free tub of Sonic’s Peach Rings supplement snacks.

The bundle will be a limited-time offer and orders will be limited to one per customer, which is a shame, really. Who wouldn’t want the essence of baked beans and meat byproduct goodness rushing down their throats during an intense, late-night pro gamer session? I’d personally like to keep a whole cupboard full!
