Previously, we reported that VIZ Media would be localizing Ask Iwata: Words of Wisdom from Nintendo’s Legendary CEO in English with a release date of April 13th, 2021, however, it appears that the book containing the former president’s collection of advice will be translated into an additional eight languages sometime over the next two years. These additional translations will bring the upcoming book’s availability up to a total of ten different languages.
In order of release, Ask Iwata will be translated into Japanese, French, English, Chinese (simplified), Spanish, Chinese (traditional), Korean, Russian, Italian, and Hungarian. While those first four listed translations do currently have official and tentative release dates, the other localizations have yet to receive any. With the announcement of Ask Iwata being released in ten languages, the publishers in charge of translating each release left a note commemorating the occasion. VIZ Media who is publishing the book in English had left the following to say:
“It is our great privilege to be the English language publisher of Ask Iwata. His indomitable spirit, his passion, and his commitment to gaming will endure forever.”
