Digital card games have pretty much always been a thing, but over the past decade they’ve blown up like never before, likely due to the ubiquity of online play and the easy interfaces offered by mobile devices.
Shadowverse is among the most popular digital card games, with developer and publisher Cygames releasing it back in 2016 and giving it regular updates ever since.
Last year, Japan saw a spin-off for Switch that contextualizes the card battles with an RPG setting based on the series’ anime adaptation, and now it’s being localized by XSEED and Marvelous Europe.
