Trainers involved with the physical side of two-dimensional Pokémon battles will be ecstatic to know that Play! Pokémon is finally back – at least for Australia and New Zealand players. Play! Pokémon events will be returning to the two regions starting this week on Saturday, March 6th. Trading Card Game players will once again be able to play at stores hosting Pokémon League and Prerelease tournaments.

As the two countries’ COVID-19 numbers continue to be on an admirable decline, The Pokémon Company has deemed both places safe for trainers to continue battling it out in person. Events in other areas outside of Australia and New Zealand will continue to remain suspended, however, The Pokémon Company has noted that it will continue to follow global events and hold at-home tournaments until further notice.

In other TCG news, a brand new event locator has been added to The Pokémon Company’s website to help players track where they can compete next. The Pokémon Event Manager (PEM) has also launched and can be utilized to help Professors and Tournament Organizers create and track upcoming Play! Pokémon events. When more Pokémon-related news hits the round-up, you can be sure that we will let you all know what is going on with both TCG and mainline game tournaments.
