Pokémon Masters EX’s anniversary is still months away, but it can celebrate its 1.5-year anniversary alongside the big 25th anniversary celebration for the Pokémon franchise. DeNA and The Pokémon Company are going all out though, including bringing the remaining Pokémon Champions to the island of Pasio. Over the next two months, you’ll find Leon & Charizard, Marnie & Morpeko, Champion Iris & Hydreigon, and Diantha & Gardevoir appearing and starring in Sync Pair Spotlight Scout banners.

Here’s all you need to know from the official press release:

Introducing the First Master Sync Pair

Leon, the Champion of the Galar region, and his partner Pokémon Charizard, will be the first master sync pair added to the game. Master sync pairs possess a passive skill that provides a boost to the whole team. Marnie & Morpeko, also hailing from the Galar region, can deploy moves with culinary themes like Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode. Both of these will be available in the sync pair spotlight scout from February 25th at 10:00 p.m. Pacific Time until March 17th at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

All-New, Upcoming Story Event

In-game events that follow these characters and their time on Pasio will also be available. In Champion Time, a Story Event available from February 25th at 10:00 p.m. Pacific Time until March 17th at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time, players can watch Galar Trainers Leon, Gloria, and Marnie take on top Trainers from other regions in tournament-style exhibition matches. A solo event titled Yell and Dream will be available from March 3rd at 10:00 p.m. Pacific Time until March 17th at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time and follows the story of Marnie as she demonstrates what Trainers from Spikemuth Gym have to offer.

Continuing the Celebration

A re-tweet rally is also being held, in which if enough players re-tweet the trailer on the game’s official Japanese Twitter (@pokemas_game) and English Twitter (@PokemonMasters) pages before March 2nd at 9:59 p.m. Pacific Time, 3,000 Gems and 60 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets (enough to use the 5★-Guaranteed Scout two times) will be distributed to all players.

Editor’s note: The re-tweet rally goal has been reached as of Wednesday, February 24th, 2021 at 10 p.m. PT.

Looking Ahead

In March, new sync pairs Champion Iris & Hydreigon and Diantha & Gardevoir will appear in their respective sync pair scouts, with more information coming at a later time.

Pokémon Masters EX will also soon be celebrating one and a half years since the game’s launch and will be providing players with the opportunity to earn up to 10,000 Gems, enough to add up to 36 sync pairs to players’ teams, via multiple log-in bonuses that will be held from February 25th at 10:00 p.m. Pacific Time until March 30th at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Players can check the in-game menus for more information. Note that in-game event dates are subject to change without notice.

Log in today to catch these gifts and see if you’re lucky in having Leon & Charizard or Marnie & Morpeko join your team!
