Since September Nintendo has been running a series of commercials in celebration for the Super Mario Bros. 35 Anniversary. Each of these has featured Japanese singer-songwriter Gen Hoshino’s soon to be released single Create, and have been used to highlight Mario games available on Switch.
With Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury now available, it’s only natural it would get in on the fun. Best of all, they’ve brought along another Mario-filled game to get in on the celebration.
That’s right, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate gets to count as a Mario game for the sake of this campaign! I don’t think anyone will mind though, especially since its section did its best to only use Mario characters and stages. I see you, Gaur Plain…
