Though we’re patiently awaiting more information on NEO: The World Ends With You, we now know when we’ll be taking a different and more familiar trip back to Shibuya. A series of announcements have been shared for The World Ends With You: The Animation, among them the anime’s broadcast date.

The adaptation of the DS game’s events will begin airing on April 9th, with episodes arriving each Friday after that in Japan. What this could mean for anyone looking to watch the show overseas remains to be seen.

What can be seen though, is both a new visual of the show/game’s cast and a preview of its opening:

Other events, such as merchandise campaigns, were also announced but one of the most interesting tweets specifically shouts out fans “all over the world”. It looks like there’s a plan to give an early viewing of the first episode, as well as an art exhibition for the show.

Whatever the plan may be there, expect more information sometime this month.
