2021 marks Pokémon’s 25th anniversary, and People.com has seemingly accidentally revealed the next part of the celebrations accidentally. Namely, “P25 Music”, a program of musical collaborations which “will feature surprise global activations throughout the year.”

The headliner is Katy Perry, of Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius fame, who states that she loves “being a part of anything that is playful and is good storytelling and has really good messages to share with the world”, relating that her daughter born in 2019 has helped her “understand that it’s so important to play”.

You can check out a teaser for the collab at the tail end of the new trailer below:

Hopefully we’ll learn of other big names taking part in the promotion soon.

Always excited to see something a little bit different, Tom is ready to report on games of all shapes and sizes, whether they be wonderful or weird (or, better yet, both.) Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
