For anyone who set out for Galar at launch, congratulations! Your journey is now one year old, as Pokémon Sword and Shield have reached their 1st anniversary milestone.
Did you grab Grookey? Squad up with Scorbunny? Softly tend to Sobble’s needs? Whichever of the three starters you chose to be your partner, you can see them celebrating below in a piece of commemorative artwork from Sword and Shield’s Pokémon Designer and Art Director James Turner.

They aren’t the only ones getting in on the fun either. Kubfu and Calyrex are along as well to represent the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. The Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra still have a way to go until they’re a year old, but they’re still the perfect party guests.
