We’ve seen nearly everything from the Super Mario 35th Anniversary Direct come and go, aside from certain in-game events. There is one glaring exception though, and even though it’s releasing alongside next generation consoles from competitors, Nintendo’s content to look back instead of forward.

The Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. orders have not opened in the US as of this writing (10/30), and the above commercial is the first real attention Nintendo’s given it since its announcement, although it shares a few scenes with a trailer released back in September. Hopefully anyone who’s interested can grab the throwback handheld when it arrives on November 13th, priced at $49.99.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
