This weekend’s looking like a good one for online competition on Switch. Not only are we getting the return of Splatoween in Splatoon 2, but now Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has announced its next routine tournament event. Better watch those projectiles, because it’s all reflection all the time this weekend.
In the unusual three-day Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tourney "Reflect-a-thon", starting on Friday, all entrants will be given Reflect status. Whatever the projectile, it'll bounce straight off! pic.twitter.com/RVA2eLtUu1

Unlike previous tournaments where the defining element determined which fighters could participate, this time around every fighter every match will be in permanent reflect mode. Franklin Badges for everyone! You could always bypass the theme by picking characters like Little Mac or Incineroar who shirk projectiles completely, but where’s the fun in that?
Take aim (and watch that ricochet) when the online reflection tournament event begins in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on October 30th.
