Mario Kart Tour likely saw a whole slew of new racers this last month thanks to being part of the Super Mario 35th Anniversary celebration. I hadn’t played since launch myself, but dammit, I wanted pins. Yet here we are pulling up into October and it’s the mobile game’s turn to celebrate.

That’s right, Mario Kart Tour is about to be a year old! It’s current in-game event is soaking up some Sunshine in Los Angeles, but once that wraps it’ll host a 1st Anniversary Tour. While details are limited, the presence of multiple world landmarks in the shared image have me guessing we’ll see those tracks make a return.
Keep an eye out for what else is coming from Mario Kart Tour in the near future, and plenty more Mario after that.
