Mario is certainly enjoying a grand 35th anniversary, with Super Mario 3D All-Stars continuing to dominate in sales.

Head of B2B Games Christopher Dring has been sharing some interesting tidbits from GfK UK chart data on Twitter, revealing that Super Mario 3D All-Stars’s launch was the third-biggest of all game releases in 2020, tailing The Last of Us Part 2 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

That’s not all, as the title is also Nintendo’s 15th biggest game launch of all time in the UK. For a collection of re-releases, this is impressive, especially as It’s trailing just slightly behind Mario’s newest adventure Super Mario Odyssey at 14th place.
