Two of the first indie games I remember playing were Ben There, Dan That! and Time Gentlemen, Please!, quirky point ‘n click adventures that were released in 2008 and 2009 respectively. It took over decade, but a sequel to the duology released earlier this year on PCs in the form of Lair of the Clockwork God.
While the new game maintains the point ‘n click heritage with one of its protagonists, Ben, the other hero, Dan, instead traverses the world as if it were a platformer, resulting in some interesting puzzles that combine the two playstyles.
Now, Lair of the Clockwork God is heading to Switch and it’s not going to be a long wait – you’ll be able to pick it up via the eShop on September 4th.
