The game will be available for a four week pre-order period on both Nintendo Switch and PS4 starting at 12 p.m. ET, September 1st. The word is still out on whether or not the game will receive a collector’s edition, but given most Limited Run releases do, it may just be a matter of time. It’s also worth noting this release will not be part of Limited Run’s numbered series, meaning fans gunning for the full LRG collection won’t have to worry too much about missing out.
For those not in the know, Regions of Ruin is a 2D side-scrolling RPG with town-building mechanics. Personally I find it gives off some serious Kingdom vibes, but with a much more open world. Sprinkle in a dash of Stardew Valley and Terraria and you’ve got a game well worth throwing your hard-earned gold at.
