Heads up, Trainers! For any fans of Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution, the three-dimensional recreation of Pokémon: The First Movie, a brand-new manga adaptation will be hitting store shelves today. Thanks to novel distributor company VIZ Media, the latest translated edition of the action-adventure family film is now available in both paperback and digital format. The Pokémon Company and VIZ Media have also provided preview pages of the surprise announcement. Have a look at a few of the opening pages released below!

The manga adaptation of Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution comes in at a short 128 pages with story direction and artwork from veteran Pokémon writer and animator Machito Gomi. The manga will retail for $9.99 and can now be ordered from a variety of retailers including VIZ’s store page, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.
