After months of listing “closed for business” hours due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nintendo NY has announced it’ll be re-opening this Friday in a limited capacity. Following in the footsteps of Nintendo TOKYO, Nintendo NY’s reopening will be paired with the Warp Pipe Pass reservation system. Information about the reservation system was shared on the store’s site and social media pages.

 

 

Going to the website provided, Experience.nintendo.com, these reservation slots are planned from Friday, August 7th until Saturday, October 31st. Below are more details outlining what to do once securing a Warp Pipe Pass:

 

“The health and safety of our guests and employees is of the utmost importance. Therefore, a reservation is required for general entry to Nintendo NY. For general entry, reservations will be offered in 30-minute intervals from 11am – 5:30pm Tuesday – Sunday. Entry is limited to but to not exceed one guest +1 per reservation. Any children under the age of two accompanying a guest in addition to their +1 are permitted within the reservation. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your time slot and present your warp pipe pass upon arrival. You must have a Nintendo account to register. Any arrivals 5 minutes after your scheduled time may result in cancellation. Please maintain a safe distance of 6ft. while waiting on line [sic] for your time slot to begin. For the safety of our staff and customers, do not attend a reservation if you have been exposed to or experience symptoms of COVID-19. *Reservation sign-ups are available 2 – 5 days in advance.

Pass is non-transferable and cannot be sold. Pass is one-time use only. Pass is redeemable for priority access to wait line for select game at designated time and may not be redeemable if used during non-designated time.”

 

Currently, there are only three shopping days available in the reservation system — August 7th through the 9th.

As for in-store events, Nintendo NY did reconfirm that they’re all postponed until further notice on their site
