Last month, Pokémon Journeys: The Series made its US debut on Netflix. Switching to a streaming service, the first 12 episodes made for a good Netflix-and-binge session. For those who don’t have a Netflix account or access to one, the 23rd season of the Pokémon anime is hidden behind a paywall. Today, that changes!
The Pokémon Company has released the series’ first episode — “Enter Pikachu!” — onto YouTube and the Pokémon TV app. Right now you can watch the entire episode for free!
To set the scene, “Enter Pikachu!” takes place years prior to Ash’s introduction to Pikachu at Professor Oak’s lab. New characters from Pokémon Journeys: The Series, Goh and Chloe, are introduced and find themselves on a Pokémon Day-Camp adventure. Who or what will they find in the forests? It’s a Mythical mew-ystery!
