2021 will mark Sonic the Hedgehog’s 30th anniversary, and given that the franchise is still a merchandising juggernaut it’s only natural that the blue blur would get some new figures from Funko for the occasion. It turns out the company is the first to tip its hand regarding the celebrations, with the Instagram account Funko News including two noteworthy figures as part of a line-up of what’s “coming soon” (as spotted by Sonic Stadium).
The relevant Sonic POP!s are Sonic 30th – Running Sonic and Sonic 30th – Silver the Hedgehog.
We’ll just have to wait and see what other toy makers, and Sega itself, are planning for Sonic’s 30th anniversary over the coming year!
