When it comes to long running JRPG series, for me there’s no touching the Tales of series. Maybe it was how impressionable I was when playing Tales of Symphonia, or seeing more of these games regularly localized, but you just can’t replicate the legacy they’ve laid.
That’s why I’m happy to see that Bandai Namco is aiming to give these games their due for their 25th anniversary.
Join us in celebrating 📔 Tales of, one of the most iconic Japanese RPG series of all time!
We have a lot planned for you to enjoy over the coming months, but for now, explore the history of the Tales of games on our site! https://t.co/sWTuXndHR0 pic.twitter.com/ImM8ZdFecl

The small video included takes us through the whole series, all the way back to the Super Famicom title that started it all. Tales of Phantasia was first released on December 15th, 1995 though thankfully it sounds like Bandai Namco has plans to celebrate much sooner than that.
“A lot planned…over the coming months” may be a vague statement, but it’s enough to get me excited. As is, the recently delayed Tales of Arise is the only console title in development and it’s not planned for Switch. The series has had a history with (and again, began on) Nintendo consoles in the past, hopefully some of these plans will be.
