During BitSummit Gaiden, Inti Creates went on stream to discuss the recently revealed Bloodstained 2: Curse of the Moon. Much of their time was spent discussing the game’s playable characters and new switching mechanic, but they and IGA also had a few surprises in store.
While it starts off similar to the debut trailer, it was also announced that Zangetsu’s companions and fellow playable characters from the first game will be returning. Miriam (Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s lead), Alfred, and Gebel all seem to retain their playstyles and abilities from Curse of the Moon 1 and bring the playable character counter to seven.
It’ll also be possible to play the game in 2 player co-op, opening new strategies and options for progressing through levels. Perhaps the biggest surprise though is just when this game will be available. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 will release in just two weeks on July 10th, for Switch and other platforms. You can pre-purchase from the eShop now, with the game priced at $14.99.
