Ahead of Ninjala’s release, GungHo Online has released the first episode of a Ninjala anime. Introducing Van, the short gives us insight into some Ninjala lore and Van’s backstory.
From the YouTube upload’s description:
“Van is an energetic and athletically gifted youngster known for his incredible skills on the basketball court. One night, after waking from a nightmare, Van jumps on his bike and hurries across town to see his father… and arrives just in time to witness his dad being attacked by a ninja!”
The episode was also uploaded on Japan’s Ninjala-centric YouTube account, but in Japanese. Regardless of which language version you watch, the ending theme is the same. “Ninja Re Bang Bang (Steve Aoki Remix)” by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Steve Aoki was made especially for the game. It’s not surprising we’ll see this pop tune in other Ninjala media.
