Last year, Pokémon GO came to Chicago, Dortmund, and Yokohama in a big way with the multi-day Pokémon GO Fest events. These brought multitudes of people together for special research events and rare encounters, something that is unfortunately not possible due to ongoing precautions and restrictions related to COVID-19 at the moment. As GO has adapted to playing at home, though, so too will Pokémon GO Fest.

This year, GO Fest will be both worldwide and fully virtual — no specific locations required. This will still be a ticketed event, but one that participants can enjoy from anywhere and on both featured days.

While full details, such as specific Pokémon and rewards, have not been shared, we can tell you that anyone interested in Pokémon GO Fest 2020 should mark their calendars for July 25th and 26th.
