The Mario franchise has been host to some of the most iconic characters in the history of video games, from perpetual second fiddle Luigi, to long-lasting antagonist Bowser, to that one Goomba in 1-1 who always seems to kill you no matter what you do. And yet with such an embarrassment of riches, the most iconic Mario character of all-time has somehow remained absent from mobile title Dr. Mario World… until now. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen: Dr. Dolphin is finally arriving in everybody’s favorite(?) puzzle title.

Yes, a far more worthy addition than the likes of Birdo, Pauline, E. Gadd, or Dixie Kong, the Dolphin — debuting in Super Mario World and quickly becoming a fan-favorite for its rich lore and nuanced characterization — is splashing into Dr. Mario World tomorrow, May 28th, at 2 a.m. PST, complete with armband, first-aid kit, and the now-legendary goggles adorning its cute bottlenose. We have no doubt that every single player under the sun will be throwing every last bit of currency they have to try and nab this marine marvel, so remember to spend responsibly, and that if you don’t roll in Dr. Dolphin, your life still has purpose. Even if it doesn’t have a porpoise.
