Another digital games showcase has been announced as a platform for game developers to promote their works, this time coming from indie creators in Japan. Indie Live Expo is being put together with the goal of having one million viewers both as a show of unity and of the worldwide appeal of indie games.

The event will be broadcast in Japanese, English, and Chinese; information looks to be a mix of both new products and efforts to highlight the history of indie titles, with examples given including Pokémon creators Game Freak and the Fate franchise of games and media.

There will also be personal messages from the following, with more as well:

  • ZUN (Touhou Project)
  • Toby Fox (Undertale, Deltarune)
  • SWERY (CEO for White Owls Inc.
  • Kazuya Nino (TYPE-MOON studio BB)

More information, including sponsors and contributors, can be found on the newly opened Indie Live Expo 2020 website. You can watch the broadcast on YouTube, Twitch, and other platforms when it’s streamed June 6th starting at 8 p.m. JST (or 4 a.m. PST).
