In Japan, May 5th is Children’s Day, which both marks the end of Golden Week and celebrates kids’ youth and happiness. Who better to embrace that than the kid who’s been ten years old for 23 years?

Artist for Pokémon Journeys: The Series, the latest chapter in the long-running Pokémon anime, Shuhei Yasuda shared the above piece of artwork. It features Ash and new friend Goh, along with Pikachu, Raboot, and Riolu flying the traditional carp windsock in the shape of a Magikarp. It’s a fitting way to embrace the day, even in the face of Journeys’ production halted in Japan.
You’ll be able to see Pokémon Journeys first on Netflix starting June 12th.
