Fire Emblem: Three Houses may be the latest in the now thirty year old series, but it was only a matter of time til one of its characters would earn Legendary status. Joining the ranks of plenty more, powerful, green, armored characters is Fire Emblem Heroes’ second take on Edelgard – now five years older and crowned Emperor.

Wielding her signature axe Amyr (the very same Byleth takes up in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate), this take on Edelgard also brings with her a pair of skills that together shatter inherent limitations of the game. Her unique B skill, Raging Storm, affords her extra actions with the minimal set up of not being adjacent to an ally, as well as guaranteed follow ups on dragon and beast characters. Her C skill on the other hand, with the same minimal set up, removes her armored movement limitations.

She’ll be joined by other legendary, limited, and desirable pickups on this upcoming focus. It’s also important to note that this definitely isn’t the last we’ll see of Edelgard in Fire Emblem Heroes either, as she was previously the winner of the latest Choose Your Legends popularity vote. I for one welcome our new Adrestian overlord, and you can too when she arrives in game on April 30th.
