It seems game shows aren’t dead, as the Japan Independent Games Aggregate, in charge of the annual BitSummit game show, has announced its plans for the summer: meet BitSummit Gaiden, a new Japanese games event to help small developers showcase their work.
This new, online indie games event will be held from June 27th-28th and will include livestreams with developers, a “virtual show floor,” developer chat through Discord, and game demos handpicked by the BitSummit Committee.
More details will be revealed in the coming weeks. The original event, BitSummit The 8th Bit, was scheduled from May 9th-10th at the Kyoto International Exhibition Hall, but was cancelled back in March due to COVID-19.
