Here’s a small bit of feel good news: Nintendo has donated 9,500 N95 respirator masks to emergency services in North Bend, Washington, where the masks will be donated around the region to help mitigate and contain the spread of COVID-19.

The masks came from Nintendo’s North American packaging and distribution center located in North Bend, which ships out deliveries for all of the US, Canada, and Latin America. The masks were reportedly originally for emergency preparedness planning, but are now being distributed to help with the pandemic — which has hit particularly hard in Washington state.

The gesture is appreciated and will no doubt help contain the outbreak. We can only hope that the pandemic passes over with all due speed.
