Pokémon GO Battle League Season 1 starts March 13th | Nintendo Wire

For all you Pokémon GO battlers out there, we’re excited to say that you can finally and officially look forward to the first ever GO Battle League Season, which starts a week from today on Friday, March 13th, at 1:00 p.m. PST.

Of course, if you’ve been participating in the GO Battle League preseason, which is starting to wind down, you’ll likely already know all about this.

To say thank you for participating and helping Niantic improve Pokémon GO’s battle system, they’re handing out Premium Battle Passes to any Trainer who achieved a rank 4 or higher during the preseason period. And for everyone who’s been participating, starting yesterday until the first season officially starts, all three leagues will be available to play for everyone.

In addition to these bonuses, other extras such as new events and Legendary and Mythical Pokémon coming to the GO Battle League are all being implemented into the game mode. There’s a ton happening as Niantic continues to promote its new competitive feature, so make sure to read up on all the updates on the official Pokémon GO blog!

Good luck this season, Trainers!
