The Blue Blur continues his run of cinematic success, as Sonic the Hedgehog scores a second week where it’s topped the box office, crossing the $100 million mark domestically within only ten days.
At $106 million, the movie just needs $38 million to cross Detective Pikachu’s $144 million threshold and become the highest grossing video game adaptation in US box office history. Meanwhile, the film’s crossed $200 million worldwide, and doesn’t show signs of stopping anytime soon. We’ll be sure to update if and when the movie busts through any records.
