The Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account has unveiled the Sonic movie advertisement for the Big Game.
The commercial stars professional athletes like NFL players Michael Thomas and Christian McCaffrey, gold medalist Allyson Felix, and NASCAR champion Kyle Busch. All the athletes take turns praising Sonic’s speed and spin moves, with Busch saying, “he’s just a blur out there.” It’s then revealed that Sonic is actually directing these commercials, and he seems to be enjoying the praise from all of the athletes. Later, the sequences transition into clips from the upcoming movie, showcasing a battle between Dr. Eggman and Sonic.
Overall, it’s a pretty great Super Bowl advertisement. You can catch the Sonic the Hedgehog movie on February 14th. Yep, that’s Valentine’s Day.
Until then, check out the full ad for yourself!
